Job Description
The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating dump trucks on local routes, ensuring timely and secure transport of loads while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. This role involves independent work during regular day shifts, with no overnight travel required. The driver performs vehicle inspections and basic maintenance, records accurate logs, and reports any vehicle issues to maintain optimal truck performance.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks on local routes efficiently and safely
- Transport loads securely to designated locations
- Navigate routes while adhering to traffic laws and company policies
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to identify maintenance needs
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or spillage
- Report vehicle maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate log documentation of routes, fuel, and hours
- Manage fuel usage effectively during trips
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of commercial truck driving experience
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B
- Proficient in commercial driving and vehicle inspection
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures
- Strong commitment to safety compliance
- Physical stamina to handle job demands
- Must Have A Valid DOT Physical
- Must be able to pass a drug test
