Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for Telemetry unit responsible for providing comprehensive patient care. The RN will manage diverse patient conditions, ensuring safety and quality care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for telemetry patients in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, ECG rhythms, and respond promptly to abnormal findings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform necessary procedures such as blood draws and bladder scans.
• Document patient information accurately in the Epic EMR system, ensuring completeness and compliance.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent clinical experience in a telemetry or medical-surgical setting.
• Be current in BLS certification; CMSRN credentials preferred.
• Complete NIHSS certification prior to start date.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EMR system from the past two years.
• Have reliable transportation, preferably with all-season or snow tires during winter months.
