Patient Transporter

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Transporter you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient transport of patients within the hospital. Provide every patient with the highest quality of professional care and ensure the safety of the patient while in transport. Uses good body mechanics needed to care for patients. Each Transporter will be responsible for dressing and sanitizing stretchers, reading oxygen tanks to ensure tanks are full for the next patient, and restocking linen the transporting department. Demonstrates knowledge needed for proper use of wheelchairs, stretchers and other transporting equipment.


What qualifications you will need:

• Minimum Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in the Hospital role desirable but not required

• Minimum License and Certificates Required:
• Must hold a current CPR certification or must obtain during orientation period, along with Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia class with Education upon onboarding.
