Northway Industries is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our shop-floor team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn manufacturing processes, and takes pride in making sure products are built right the first time.

Applicants must be reliable, have a willingness to learn, and a strong eye for detail. We’ll train you on the tools, inspection methods, and quality standards used across our production floor.

As a Quality Technician, you help ensure that every product leaving Northway meets the standards our customers expect. Your work directly supports our reputation for reliability, precision, and consistent quality.

Job Duties:

• Perform basic in-process and final inspections on parts and assemblies

• Use measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges)

• Check parts for accuracy, defects, and overall workmanship

• Compare parts to drawings or samples to ensure they meet the required tolerances

• Record inspection results clearly and accurately

• Tag any parts that don’t meet standards

• Assist with simple non-conformance reports as needed

• Work closely with machine operators and assemblers to find and help resolve issues

• Help verify setups and ensure parts are running correctly

• Learn how to identify root causes of quality issues

• Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication and teamwork skills with a positive can-do attitude.

• Willingness to learn measurement tools, inspection methods, and quality standards

• Comfortable working on the shop floor in a manufacturing environment

• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow standard procedures

• Experience in manufacturing, woodworking, machining, or assembly (not mandatory)

• Familiarity with basic measurement tools (not mandatory)

• Interest in quality, process improvement, and technical work

· Ability to read and interpret prints from various manufacturers
