First 90 days require office work; hybrid may be possible after training. Airgas is hiring for a Collection Specialist in Kennesaw, GA. Recruiter Contact: Quentin Chavis Jr / [emailprotected] / View phone number on click.appcast.io Key Responsibilities Manage daily collection efforts for a portfolio of customer accounts; prioritize portfolio to maximize collection benefits. Lead the customer resolution process, liaise with internal stakeholders, and effectively communicate to support collection goals while ensuring best‑in‑class customer service. Recognize significant credit risks, identify potential credit problems, and raise matters to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and field contacts as needed. Address and investigate customer account errors and discrepancies, including billing and pricing issues. Use customer service skills to maintain positive relationships during collection efforts; collaborate with field contacts (Branch Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, or District Manager) and regional collections managers when necessary. Document all communications and follow‑up activities related to collection. Initiate appropriate follow‑up action on returned mail and resolve account discrepancies. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Problem‑solving skills and ability to research solutions quickly. Excellent organizational skills in time management and resource allocation. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Track record of success in prior collection roles and ownership of an AR portfolio. Commercial collection experience. Experience with SAP and/or ERP systems. Basic Excel skills. Bilingual (Spanish) – preferred.
