Mobile Therapist (Independent Contractor)

Job Overview Position: Mobile Therapist (Independent Contractor). Location: 1547 Mill Creek Road, Newfoundland, PA 18445. Provide face‑to‑face, child‑centered, family‑focused psychotherapy and behavioral management in the community for children in Carbon, Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike, and Wayne counties in NEPA. Flexible schedules and other benefits available. Primary Responsibilities Provide expertise in behavioral management protocols. Collaborate with treatment team members to design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior modification intervention plans. Identify behavioral goals and intervention techniques and recommend least restrictive methods. Develop treatment plans, services, and outcome‑based short‑term goals for children/adolescents. Assess strengths and therapeutic needs of assigned children and families. Attend and participate in Inter‑Agency Service Planning Team (ISPT) meetings. Collect written information on antecedents, behaviors, and consequences to evaluate program effectiveness. Collaborate with other professions and agencies to provide unified services and continuity of care; develop discharge planning criteria. Provide clinical services to child/adolescent and family; maintain written documentation and clinical records. Submit applicable billing documentation to facilitate payment of services. Participate in orientation, in‑service training, and Office of Mental Health training. Ensure confidentiality of participants, records, and information. Maintain effective multidisciplinary team interactions; act as mandated reporter under Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law. Travel to site visits and meetings. Provide coverage in emergency situations. Benefits & Compensation Pay Rate: $36 per hour. Sign‑On Bonus: $200 at completion of training, $200 after first case worked, $200 at 90 days after first case. For applicants before 6/30/2026, bonus increases to $2000 total: $500 at training, $500 after first case, $1000 at 6 months. Benefits: Not eligible for health or other corporate benefits. Qualifications Licensed Pennsylvania social worker or behavior specialist with a graduate degree that requires a clinical or mental health direct service practicum. 1+ year of full‑time experience in direct mental health services to children, youth, or young adults, and a graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to psychology, social work, or counseling. Graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling, and completion of a clinical or mental health direct service practicum.
