Equipment Operator – Compost & Transfer OperationsMid Valley Disposal is looking for skilled and safety-driven Equipment Operators to support our Compost and Transfer Station operations. If you're comfortable working with heavy machinery, take pride in maintaining equipment, and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this is a great opportunity to join a team that keeps essential operations moving every day.What You'll DoYou'll play a key role in keeping materials flowing safely and efficiently by operating heavy equipment and supporting daily site operations.Equipment OperationOperate front-end loaders, excavators, grinders, screens, forklifts, and related equipmentPerform daily inspections and report maintenance needsKeep equipment clean and in good working conditionFollow daily production schedules and safety protocolsCompost Operations (as assigned)Process organic materials through grinding, screening, and loading systemsMonitor compost quality and system performanceLoad materials into bunkers and transfer trailersMaintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready yardTransfer Station Operations (as assigned)Move, sort, and load materials on the tipping floorMonitor incoming loads for contamination or hazardous wasteDirect traffic and assist drivers as neededHelp maintain a clean and safe working environmentWhat We're Looking ForExperience operating heavy equipment (loaders, forklifts, excavators, or similar)Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with equipment inspectionsStrong attention to safety and detailAbility to follow direction and work as part of a teamComfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding environmentBilingual (Spanish) is a plusShift FlexibleEducation: High School Diploma or GED required Preferred: Experience in composting, waste, or industrial operationsWork EnvironmentThis is a hands-on role in an active industrial setting.
