Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: Current CPR/BLS Card, ACLS Must-Have: Availability for call requirement including weeknights and weekends Description: Operating Room nurses work 10-hour shifts. Shifts are 4 days a week from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Call is required, including 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month, with potential for more based on departmental needs. Nurses may float to other facilities as needed. The role involves heavy orthopedic, urology, spine procedures, and robotic surgeries. Assess patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs. Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care in collaboration with the healthcare team. Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their representatives. Utilize clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient conditions. Contribute to a healthy workplace by managing conflict with professional communication. Meet core measure responsibilities related to patient care. Engage in continuing education to maintain professional development. Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
