Customer Service Representative 

Location Name: Western Building Center in Kalispell, MT

Shift: Day shift, all seasons

Western Building Center in Kalispell is seeking an outgoing person who takes pride in excellent customer service. This full-time customer service position will give you the opportunity to excel in a fast-paced retail environment. A successful applicant will be able to hone their knowledge of all aspects of building materials sales, from customer service and sales to administration and logistics. Training is provided, but some computer experience is necessary. Experience in the lumber and building materials industry is recommended.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that WBC customers and clients have the best possible retail experience
• Answer phones, provide customer service over the telephone or route calls appropriately.
• Fulfill sales goals as directed by the store manager
• Maintain clean and organized appearance of the retail facility
• Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
• Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attend periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned

COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of company products sufficient to determine appropriate applications
• Good customer service and communications skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to read customer orders and follow safety regulations
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A drug test will be administered prior to employment
