Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

The position requires a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery. You will be responsible for providing quality care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:2 in the Labor and Delivery unit. The role includes assisting with cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and high-risk deliveries. You will need to demonstrate skills such as the administration of blood products and pain assessment and management. Knowledge of charting systems such as Cerner is preferred. The nurse will float to the postpartum unit based on staffing needs. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. On-call requirements include 36 hours every 6 weeks. You will not be accommodated for time off during major holidays. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams. All certifications and licenses must be current and valid prior to starting. Consideration of residency documentation is required for compliance purposes.

Minimum of 2 years current experience required. Active Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP, NIHSS required.
