HVAC Service Technician

Locations Comfort Matters Office MN 18071 Territorial Rd Osseo, MN 55369, USA Description About the Role: As a HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair residential HVAC systems. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting systems. Compensation: $32-$45 an hour + $2000.00 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and identify potential problems before they escalate. Install, repair, or replace components such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, filters, and ductwork. Collaborate with team members to coordinate work schedules, prioritize service calls, and efficiently complete assignments. Communicate with customers professionally, addressing concerns, explaining repair options, and providing recommendations for system improvements. Accurately document service activities, including equipment status, repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a residential HVAC technician or similar role. Competency cards preferred but not required. Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems. Solid knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload. Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
