Finance Manager

Finance Department ManagerAs part of a planned transition due to an upcoming retirement, The Bay Family of Companies' Corporate Office is seeking a Finance Department Manager to join the Corporate Finance team. This role provides leadership and oversight for financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and process improvement across assigned entities and business segments. The position partners closely with business leaders to interpret results, monitor KPI performance, strengthen internal controls, and support timely close and audit activities.Responsibilities:Lead and develop a team of Staff and Sr. Accountants supporting the Finance function, including coaching, workload planning, and performance feedbackOversee month-end and year-end close activities and prepare/review financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reporting packagesReview and approve key journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations; ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling itemsCoordinate internal and external audit activities, including audit requests, and workpaper preparationDevelop and maintain KPI dashboards and executive reporting (sales, margin, labor, overhead)Build and maintain ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support decision-makingPrepare revenue and expense analyses and partner with business leaders to identify risks, evaluate opportunities, and support informed decision-making.Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, controls, and reporting across business segments, including standardization and automationOccasional overnight travel (up to 5%) may be requiredRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, requiredMinimum five years of progressive experience in accounting/finance (public and/or private), requiredThree years of experience leading or managing employees, requiredManufacturing accounting/finance experience, strongly preferredExperience with multi-entity reporting and/or foreign currency reporting, strongly preferredExperience in FP&A-style analysis and business partnering (e.g., profitability analysis, pricing/margin analysis, KPI development, and executive-ready reporting)Strong financial modeling skills with advanced Microsoft Excel (e.g., Power Query/Power Pivot, pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas); experience with data extraction/analysis tools is preferredExperience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Management Reporter (or similar ERP/reporting tools) is a plusBenefits:Health benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance.
