Job Title: Quality Engineer I

Location: Atlanta, GA 30313

Work Type: Onsite

Contract Duration: 12 Months, Possible Extension

Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer I will support manufacturing operations by helping ensure products and processes meet established quality, regulatory, and business requirements. The role will collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other cross functional teams to support production activities and quality initiatives. The position will assist with quality investigations, documentation, process improvements, validations, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will have a technical degree and early career experience or exposure to quality, engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Quality Engineering support for daily manufacturing operations and production activities.
• Review manufacturing documentation and records for compliance with approved procedures, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Support the identification, documentation, investigation, and resolution of manufacturing quality issues.
• Initiate and support Nonconforming Material Reports and other quality records, including investigation and disposition activities.
• Participate in root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive action activities.
• Support manufacturing process changes, validations, qualifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support audit and inspection readiness activities and assist with internal and external audits as needed.
• Ensure quality activities comply with applicable procedures, Quality System requirements, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or another related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience.
• Zero to two years of experience in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related technical field.
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make sound decisions using available data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross functional manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internship, cooperative education, academic, or professional experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
• Coursework or experience related to Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
