What You Will Do: We are seeking an experienced System Administrator that will be working in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi–disciplined environment. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team. Serve as a technical project leader. Participate in meetings with customers, providing technical guidance and best practice to ensure successful outcomes. The candidate is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows/Linux infrastructure for classified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support. Experience assisting with troubleshooting, patching, and support Windows, ESXi and Linux Systems. Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment. Experience with Windows Server internals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). Install and configure software applications requested by end users. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned. Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date. Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours. Full time 100% Onsite position Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. SME level experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, NETAPP, networking administration experience, Windows or Linux administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites. Experience with Server architecture and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems. Experience in DevSecOps, containerization, Kubernetes. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Windows desktops (Windows 10, 11), Splunk and ESXi and/or other virtual computing methods. Scripting/ automation PowerShell, Bash experience. Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification. Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF. Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions. Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development. Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment. The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
