Family Law Attorney

Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401k Collaborative, supportive work environment that respects work-life boundaries A Day in the Life of a Family Law Attorney In this role, you'll manage a full family law caseload from intake through resolution, whether that's litigation, mediation, or collaborative practice. You'll build trusted relationships with clients while guiding them through some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and you'll play a direct role in advancing our client's mission of reducing the trauma that traditional family law litigation can cause. This is a hands-on position for an attorney who's motivated, adaptable, and just as comfortable working independently as part of a close-knit team. Responsibilities include: Maintaining excellent client communication and building strong, trusting relationships with clients Positively representing the firm in court, in the community, and online Managing a caseload from start to finish Conducting potential client interviews and developing a tailored strategy for each case Preparing cases for mediation, hearings, and trial Handling discovery and managing document review and case preparation Reviewing pleadings, motions, and orders, and conducting legal research as needed Participating in regular trauma-informed care training Becoming a trained mediator and completing collaborative family law training Requirements and Qualifications: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Admission to the State Bar of Missouri 3+ years of family law practice A passion for providing trauma-informed care A progressive, solution-focused, and non-judgmental approach to client work Strong ability to run own caseload with some autonomy Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters while maintaining attention to detail Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a close-knit team About the Hiring Company: Our client is a St. Louis-based family law firm known for its trauma-informed, person-centered approach to family law.
