Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team in Globe, Arizona. This role involves providing critical care to a diverse patient population presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, utilizing their expertise in emergency nursing to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and re-assessments in an emergency setting.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs, interpret diagnostic tests, and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
• Respond rapidly and effectively to emergency situations, including codes and traumas.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Experience with Meditech 6.0 Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in emergency nursing procedures, including triage, IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and rapid assessment skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Competency in cardiac monitoring and interpretation.
• Familiarity with emergency equipment such as defibrillators, ventilators, and cardiac monitors.

Shift Details

• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Type: Nights
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Days per Week: 3 days per week
• Call Requirements: Required to take some call shifts, 24 hours in duration.
• Weekend Rotations: Not specified.

Licensing Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona or a compact state license recognized by Arizona.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
