Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor West Whiteland, PA At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As a Production Supervisor, you'll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you'll help tackle the world's biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life-saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future. The role: As a Production Supervisor, you will help drive our goals by: Leading safe production operations and ensuring compliance with site, corporate and regulatory safety standards. Coordinating staffing, schedules and resources to achieve production, quality and on-time delivery targets. Driving operational efficiency through the application of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement activities. Maintaining accountability for in-process precious metal materials, including security and inventory control. Supporting employee development through training, performance guidance and workforce planning. Working with maintenance and leadership teams to improve equipment reliability, productivity and operational performance. Key skills that will help you succeed in this role: High School Diploma or equivalent; an Engineering or Technical qualification is advantageous. Experience supervising teams within a manufacturing or production environment. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to lead, motivate and coordinate shift-based teams effectively. Flexibility to train across shifts and work a 2nd shift schedule (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM). Even if you only match some of the skills, we'd love to hear from you to discuss further!
