Analyst

Our client, American Express, is seeking detail-oriented and analytical professionals to join their Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) within Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC). This team plays a critical role in identifying and investigating potential financial crimes, ensuring compliance with global regulations, and supporting efforts to combat money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, sanctions violations, and other illicit activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or current college students entering their third or fourth year who are interested in compliance, investigations, risk management, financial services, or criminal justice.

Contract: 6-months to start

Pay: 25/hr. on a W2

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid position based in Phoenix, AZ
• Virtual training via Webex during the first week
• Training schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM MST (Arizona)
• Analysts will be required to work onsite 3 days per week beginning the week of August 17, 2026
• Reliable internet connection and a secure workspace are required for remote workdays
• Any planned time off within the first two months of employment must be disclosed prior to onboarding

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) screening using Bridger, the enterprise screening platform
• Perform enhanced due diligence research and investigations
• Analyze information and document findings with a high level of accuracy
• Collaborate with compliance teams, business partners, and stakeholders across global markets
• Support efforts to ensure adherence to international sanctions regulations and financial crime compliance requirements

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to investigate, analyze, and document findings
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with internet research and computer applications
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Current college students (junior/senior standing) and recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply
