Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM

Pay Type: Commission only, based on a percentage of gross profit from personal sales

Motor Works West is seeking a Senior Automotive Service Advisor to join its team in Wyckoff, NJ, with estimated annual earning potential of $60,000–$120,000 through a commission-based compensation structure.

Specializing in BMW maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and performance tuning, Motor Works West is an independent Dinan Authorized Dealer serving Northern New Jersey.

The shop features a climate-controlled facility with four lifts, an alignment rack, two programming bays, and modern technology designed to support efficient service operations.

With an owner who serves as a technician trainer for TechFix, Motor Works West emphasizes professional development, technology-driven communication, and ongoing training.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer intake and vehicle write-ups, ensuring accurate documentation of concerns, requested services, and vehicle information.

• Create, explain, and present repair estimates, maintenance recommendations, and service options to customers.

• Communicate with customers through inbound and outbound phone calls, text messages, and emails to provide updates, answer questions, and obtain repair authorizations.

• Manage repair orders from initial write-up through completion, coordinating customer communication and service progress.

• Recommend additional maintenance and repair services based on documented vehicle needs, diagnostic findings, and inspection results.

• Handle an expected daily workload of 8–10 vehicles while working toward a $1,350 average repair order and $37,000 in weekly sales.

• Use TekMetric, Octo Rocket, and AI-supported digital vehicle inspection and communication tools to manage workflow and customer interactions.

• Resolve customer questions and service concerns independently when appropriate, escalating complex situations to a lead advisor or manager when additional assistance is needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of automotive service advising experience, with an automotive industry background required.

• Experience in an automotive dealership, independent repair shop, or both.

• Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, maintenance recommendations, and repair estimate presentation.

• Ability to manage customer intake, repair orders, service follow-ups, and repair authorizations.

• Experience communicating professionally with customers through phone calls, text messages, and email.

• Ability to present service recommendations, explain repair value, and pursue sales opportunities based on legitimate customer and vehicle needs.

• Knowledge of BMW, Audi, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz vehicles is highly preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation Structure: Commission only.

• Commission Basis: Percentage of gross profit generated from personal sales.

• Estimated Annual Earnings: $60,000–$120,000, depending on sales performance and the applicable commission plan. Earnings are not guaranteed.
