Direct message the job poster from Gryphon Oakwood Recruitment Consultant at Gryphon Oakwood VP Operations - Transmission & Distribution and Substation Construction - Northeast USA Gryphon Oakwood are currently working on s VP of Operations role for a Utility Contractor supplying Transmission, Distribution and Substation construction services across the Northeast US. In this role you will be responsible for all business development, estimates and operations. Qualifications: 15+ years of progressive experience in utility construction, with at least 5 in a senior leadership or VP-level operations role. Deep knowledge of high-voltage T&D and substation construction. Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-site utility projects and teams. Strong financial acumen and operational budgeting expertise. Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus). Responsibilities: Provide executive leadership and direction for all T&D and substation operations. Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across project delivery, safety, quality, and productivity. Lead, mentor, and develop regional operations managers, project managers, and field crews. Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, growth targets, and market expansion. Oversee P&L for the operations group and ensure financial performance meets company goals. Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting business development and client retention. Ensure full compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
