Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in both Medical-Surgical and Postpartum care. The successful candidate will work primarily in a rural Critical Access Hospital setting, providing patient care and support to new mothers and their infants, as well as medical-surgical patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to postpartum patients with a 1:1 patient ratio.
• Offer care to medical-surgical patients with an average ratio of 1:3.
• Utilize CPSI/Perigen charting for accurate and efficient patient documentation.
• Occasionally take on charge nurse responsibilities as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Kansas or Multistate nursing license.
• Previous experience in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and NRP, all obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Preferred previous travel nursing experience.
• Flu vaccine is strongly preferred; medical and religious exemptions accepted with a requirement to wear a mask during flu season.

Shift Details

The position requires work during evening and overnight shifts from 17:45 to 06:00. Flexibility to work more in medical-surgical than postpartum may be necessary.

Scrubs Policy

All colors of scrubs are accepted for wear during shifts.
