Job Details Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 - $2,370 Start Date: 10/05/2026 End Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 8 weeks Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Call: 4-6 weeknights and 1 weekend call shift approximately every 6 weeks Orientation: 40 hours Charting/Systems: Cerner preferred; Omnicell medication system Location: Knoxville, TN Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license Minimum of 2 years of current Operating Room nursing experience Travel nursing experience required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; NIHSS may be obtained after acceptance Ability to pass EKG testing before the start date Experience circulating OR cases and working with total joint procedures Comfort working in a fast-paced surgical environment and floating as needed Strong understanding of sterile technique, surgical workflow, and patient safety Responsibilities Circulate in the Operating Room for a variety of surgical procedures Support cases involving total joints, laparoscopic procedures, robotic surgery, neuro, and urology Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical support staff Maintain a safe, efficient, and organized operative environment Prepare patients and equipment for procedures in accordance with OR standards Adapt to rotating call requirements and holiday coverage as assigned Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients Apply now to join this exciting Operating Room RN travel assignment in Knoxville, Tennessee, and take the next step in your surgical nursing career.
