Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2266.64 Opportunity: Neuro EXP Tele RN Job Details: • 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM start) • Every other weekend required • No on-call required • Block schedules not required • Position may float between units to meet unit needs • Patient ratio of 1:5 • Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Unit census of 48 patients with 64 beds • At least 1 year of neurology RN experience required • Must be comfortable with the NIH stroke scale (NIHSS) • Must be proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and varied neurology diagnoses • Epic charting system experience required (hard stop) • Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Required skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, CVA (cerebrovascular accident), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury • Scrub color: Any color for RNs • No parking fee • Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary • Unit specializes in neuroscience including neurology, neurosurgical, and telemetry patients • Designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation • Spine Center of Excellence with JCAHO designation • NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day • Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours • 2 professional references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years Facility: This facility is a short-term acute care hospital designated as both a Level II Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. With 629 staffed beds, it operates as a teaching hospital offering a comprehensive range of specialized services.
