Administer and support public cloud Kubernetes cluster infrastructure for enterprise workloads. Configure and maintain core cluster services, including authentication, routing, logging, monitoring, storage, and networking. Partner with development teams to review containerized application requirements and support onboarding of in-house and vendor software components onto the Kubernetes platform. Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to implement GitOps and CI/CD automation for patching, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation. Support platform reliability, operational stability, and availability through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Evaluate and apply relevant technologies and tooling to improve security hardening, observability, and platform performance. Follow established BNY standards, engineering practices, and compliance requirements in platform implementation and support activities.
To be successful in this role, we re seeking the following skills: Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. 7 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud engineering. 5+ years of hands-on experience creating, configuring, upgrading, and administering Kubernetes clusters in production environments across cloud, VM, or bare-metal infrastructure. Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools such as ArgoCD or Flux, Helm and/or Kustomize, Prometheus-based monitoring, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD automation. Strong knowledge of Linux system internals, storage, and networking fundamentals. Experience supporting cloud-native platforms and containerized workloads in public cloud environments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a professional, team-oriented setting. Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
