HR Generalist: Hybrid Chicago, Growth & Benefits

Location (City, State): Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Compensation: $75,000 – $80,000 annually Work Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 remote Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). About Our Client :Addison Group is partnering with our client, a rapidly expanding CPG company, to hire an experienced HR Generalist . Job Descriptio n:The HR Generalist will serve as a key member of the human resources team, supporting a broad range of HR functions including payroll support, benefits administration, recruiting coordination, employee relations, and HR systems management. This role is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys both operational execution and employee-facing suppor t. Key Responsibiliti es:Support payroll processing activities including data validation, reporting, and audit support (bi-weekly payroll cycl e).Assist with full-cycle recruiting efforts including posting roles, coordinating interviews, and supporting onboarding activiti es.Act as a primary contact for employee questions related to benefits, policies, and general HR inquiri es.Administer benefits programs including enrollments, changes, employee communications, and vendor coordinati on.Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity within ADP Workforce N ow.Partner with managers to support hiring needs and maintain updated job descriptio ns.Assist with HR compliance activities, audits, and documentation across multiple jurisdictio ns.Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a consistent employee experien ce.Prepare HR reports and assist with data tracking using Excel and HR syste ms.Contribute to HR process improvements and internal communication updat es.Support additional HR initiatives and projects as need ed.Qualificatio ns:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required (HR certification preferre d).4+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a multi-location or multi-state environme nt.Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, specifically ADP Workforce Now (Ceridian Dayforce or Powerpay a plu s).Prior exposure to payroll support and/or payroll auditing strongly preferr ed.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office Sui te.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organizati on.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing prioriti es.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environme nt.Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a growing organizati ils:Employment Type: Direct Hire P erks:Hybrid work schedule with flexib ilityCompetitive benefits package including 401(k) matchStrong growth and professional development opportun itiesCollaborative and employee-focused HR teamModern downtown Chicago office loc ationAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
