CNC Machine Operator

Cardinal Staffing is seeking experienced CNC Machine Operators for a conveyor systems integrator in Port Clinton.

The CNC Machine Operator is an entry-level to intermediate position responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This also includes but not limited to drills, presses, cut-off, and tapping machines. This role involves interpreting blueprints, performing basic machine adjustments, and ensuring product quality while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Operate CNC mills, lathes, or other machining equipment under supervision.
• Load raw materials and verify the correct tooling is installed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Measure, inspect, and verify dimensions of finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Perform basic machine offsets and adjustments as needed.
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control processes.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Assist in basic preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and company policies.

Qualifications and requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 12 years of CNC machining experience or equivalent combination of education and training preferred.
• Basic understanding of G-code and M-code preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime or different shifts as required.

Preferred skills:

• Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak controls.
• Experience with both milling and turning operations.
• Knowledge of shop math.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Compensation: $22.00 with 10% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd hours 2nd 2p-10p 3rd 10p-6a. Overtime required as needed.
