MEP Construction Superintendent

Lead essential building systems projects across the five boroughs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations and ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and local codes.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and field labor.
• Maintain project schedules and communicate any field issues or design conflicts to the project team.
• Enforce site safety standards and quality control procedures.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate project activities.
• Maintain daily logs, project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and timesheets.
• Monitor multiple job sites and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly.
• Assist with project planning, trade evaluations, closeout documentation, and post-occupancy repairs.
• Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and professional.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Prior field experience in plumbing, heating, HVAC, or MEP construction.
• Strong understanding of heating systems and construction trades.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating field activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and mobile applications.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NYCHA projects.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience with HVAC controls, boiler/chiller systems, or building automation systems.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and Excel.
• SST-62 Certification.

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of Mount Vernon, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
