Accounting Analyst: Close & Cost Insights

Our Company Amerita Overview The Accounting Analyst compiles, classifies records, verifies, and maintains data, while performing a variety of general accounting tasks including accounts reconciliation and analysis. Work closely with Accounts Payable team to maintain and analyze the necessary invoices and PO documents to assist month end close. Working closely with Branch Managers to reconcile inventory purchase records in CPR+. Research costs of lost or damaged inventory items. Providing management with weekly reports specifying and comparing factors affecting cost and quantity variances. Preparation of month‑end accrual journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Performing general ledger account reconciliations and analysis. Implement and work with Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports. Assisting with the annual audit process, including preparation of various audit support requests. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting and equivalent experience/background with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance/accounting support role. Solid Windows operating system experience or equivalent application systems experience. SAP or Oracle knowledge preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Proven analytical skills. Familiarity with cost accounting procedures desirable. Strong problem resolution skills. Ability to effectively set priorities, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and produce quality work while dealing with interruptions. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise judgment in a fast-paced and changing environment. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to maintain a positive professional attitude while completing time-sensitive projects. Ability to professionally document processes and procedures. Team player focused on the goals and results of the team with a high level of initiative. Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. MBA or CPA is a plus.
