Job Details Title: Assistant Restaurant Leader Location: 1100 Interstate Drive, Cookeville, TN 38501, United States Job Type: Full Time Position Type: Restaurant Management Date Posted: 06/24/2026 Job ID: 744000134010249 Job Summary The Assistant Restaurant Leader supports the Restaurant Leader in day‑to‑day operations, ensures Raising Cane’s standards and culture are upheld, and manages daily restaurant functions. Responsibilities Hire, onboard, and terminate all hourly, non‑management crew members. Own the onboarding status change and payroll processes for all hourly crew members. Create crew member work and training schedules. Manage performance of all hourly crew members, including development, coaching, communication and documentation. Act as manager on duty, open and close the restaurant. Manage cash handling and ensure accountability. Enforce Raising Cane’s policies and standards. Execute shift‑management meetings and maintain operations and safety standards. Use required tools, forms and logs to support shift execution, document results and take corrective action. Deploy crew members during each shift. Provide exemplary customer service. Utilize reward and recognition program for crew members. Authorize employee functions that require manager approval (e.g., discounts, promotions, time‑clock overrides). Ensure cleanliness of the restaurant and maintain facility in good working order. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may change constantly. Self‑driven, flexible, highly energetic with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively. Ability to recognize and analyze problems, set goals, create plans, and convert plans into action. Proficient in technology systems including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and quick learning of new systems. Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for training and work‑related events. Must have 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience. Preferred experience opening a new restaurant. Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. Valid driver’s license.
