Retirement Plan Advisor

Overview The Retirement Plan Advisor assists individuals in achieving a successful retirement and planning their financial future through group and individual presentations to new and existing defined contribution Government 457 plan participants across all plan sizes. This role uses data‑driven, analytical thinking to lead impactful conversations with participants, meets client service level agreements, and achieves annual targets as assigned. The advisor will also support the Relationship Management team in establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the assigned territory, which covers public employees in New England and western New York. The advisor must be based in this territory and be available for travel as needed. Responsibilities Conduct retirement readiness reviews and other individual and group presentations to improve retirement outcomes. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders at each location within the assigned territory or for assigned employer‑sponsored plans. Conduct one‑on‑one virtual and on‑site group meetings using various technologies in a professional manner. Manage meeting schedule, including travel booking. Create and execute dynamic business plans and tactics to drive positive retirement income objectives for participants. Document interactions in Salesforce and collect required information to adhere to regulatory compliance guidelines. Achieve plan‑level and individual goals to meet service level agreements and business results. Participate in client meetings, sales finals, or other external meetings as needed. Work collaboratively across internal service and management teams to improve effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree. 3–5 years of relevant financial services experience. Strong presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Strategic thinker who can work independently. Strong relationship‑building and territory‑management skills. FINRA Series6,63,65 registrations required within an established timeline; current FINRA registrations strongly preferred. FINRA fingerprinting required upon hire. What Will Set You Apart Working knowledge of Salesforce. Working knowledge of building blocks for successful retirement planning. Basic understanding of defined contribution plans. Practical experience providing high‑level, consultative client interactions. Compensation Base salary range: $79,400.00 – $112,175.00. Non‑sales positions may participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives; total compensation may exceed base salary depending on performance. Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. 401(k) plan with generous company matching contributions (up to 6%), financial advisory services, potential company discretionary contribution, and a broad investment lineup. Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 per year. Business‑casual environment, including the option to wear jeans. Generous paid time off upon hire, plus a paid time‑off program, ten company holidays, and three floating holidays each calendar year. Paid volunteer time — 16 hours per calendar year. Leave of absence programs, including paid parental leave, paid short‑ and long‑term disability, and Family and Medical Leave (FMLA).
