Electro-Mechanical Engineer

Electro-Mechanical Engineer Key Functions:Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must be able to read and understand drawings and technical notes.Intermediate level of understanding and root cause problem experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical applications for automated equipmentComply with all OSHA industrial safety standards and NECIntegration of a variety of I/O devices such as photo eyes, proximity switches, plastic welding systems (ultrasonic, spin and hot plate), servo drives, test systems (Uson), vision systems (DVT), HMI's and laser marking systems (Rofin, Fanuc, CLC and Domino).Collaborate with CMS Corporate Manufacturing Services and plant Manufacturing Engineers charged with the procurement of the equipment to understand the process and develop any special equipment requirements for error proofing, data collection, or cell integration.Provide Electro-Mechanical Engineering input on new programs and product or process development, per APQP and other TS16969 processes.Assist in installation and upgrading of machinery based and facility-based controls.Provide necessary training and support to plant personnel on equipment, electrical systems, and machine safety; this includes OSHA industrial standards and NEC.Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and utilize root cause problem solving skills to develop and implement permanent corrective actions.Determine and specify (revise and/or review), optimum ergonomic methods, process flow, and maximum throughput as it relates to the fabricating, finishing, and assembling of components into final products.Participates in cost studies and business case development for recommended equipment upgrades and improvements.Ability to identify root cause electrical and mechanical failures/disruptions in a variety of automated equipment, recommend permanent corrective actions, and implement them.Must meet pre-established goals & objectivesQualifications:Associate of Science degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline5 years of on-the-job experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair experience.Demonstrated ability to root cause problem solve with a strong lean tool competency.Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment:Automotive component manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
