Specimen Processor
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor to prepare and route laboratory specimens for testing in a high-throughput environment. The role involves specimen handling, labeling, data entry, and shipping in a fast-paced diagnostic laboratory setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and route to appropriate staging areas
- Unpack, identify, label, pack and ship specimens to testing facilities
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
- Resolve and document problem specimens
- Meet department activity and production goals
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortable handling biological specimens and able to pass color blindness test
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Proficient in MS Office
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- 1+ year experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment (preferred)
