Registered Nurse - Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Job Description: This position requires a nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience, specifically in labor and delivery and mother/baby care. The candidate must have LDRP or couplet care experience. The unit accepts first-time travelers and offers a rate difference for locals. The work setting includes antepartum care, facility births, L&D, Level 1 nursery, and more. Skills required include IV start, circulate, telemetry, and experience in both mother/baby and labor and delivery settings. The nurse will also circulate in the OR for C/S deliveries and recover patients in PACU. The target ratios are L&D 1:1-2 and couplet care 1:3, with 15 rooms and 17 beds. The shift is 12-hour nights, and weekend shifts are required 8 times per contract. The unit is a low-risk LDRP unit with 8 LDRP rooms, 3 observation rooms, and 3 triage rooms. Special equipment and systems are provided, including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR. The orientation includes a hospital orientation week plus 2-12 hour shifts on the unit.
