Granby Connect Manager

General Purpose The Granby Connect Manager will be the manager of the day to day operation of Granby Connect including driving, managing drivers, vehicle management, vehicle mainetance, scheduling, and providing for the overall success of the program. The primary goal of the position is to ensure save, timely, and efficient transportation of riders within the guidelines of the Granby Connect on demand transportation system. The manager shall provide approximately 30 hours of driving time per week and 10 hours of administrative work per week. Essential Duties/Responsibilities VEHICLE OPERATION: As directed byt eh Town manager, or his/her designee, and aligned with public works priorities the Granby Connect Manager shall savfely and efficiently provide on-demand shared transportation to the citizens and visitors to the Town of Granby. The manager shall be able to operate the designated vehicles, navigate roads within the town, and operate the vehicles in a safe and efficient mannenr. VEHICLE MAINTENANCE: The manager shall be responsible for vhicle mainentance on those used for the Granby Connect transportation program. This includes regular maintenance items such as oil changes, tire rotation, and light diagnostics of issues with the vehicles. Maintenance items which are beyond the capability of the manager shall be discussed with the public works supervisor or taken to a mechanic for further maintenance. STAFF MANAGEMENT: Manage, schedule, and direct the drivers of Granby Connect to ensure the service for residents and visitors according to directives from the Town Board and Town Manager. Manager shall provide training to drivers and work with others to ensure a positive passenger experience. PUBLIC CONTACT: Greets and interacts with citizens in person, on the phone, and through email while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. Discerns the nature of the visit and either assists or directs them to the appropriate individual for further support. PROGRAM OPERATIONS: Manager shall be the main point of contact with the app providers of the service to ensure continued operations. This will include regular analysis of the program to ensure the needs of the community are being met through hours of service, areas of service, staffing needs, and analysis of expenditures and revenues.
