Process Engineer IIThe Process Engineer II is responsible for driving operational improvements through the development and implementation of process optimization initiatives. This includes standardizing procedures, applying statistical methodologies, and leading cross-functional project teams to enhance manufacturing performance.Additional Information: 5% Travel 7:00AM - 3:30PM This position supports a 24/7 operation and may require availability off hours This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.ResponsibilitiesIdentify improvement opportunities in existing manufacturing operations, justify procedural changes or process modifications, and establish operating procedures for the plant to attain lower manufacturing costs, increased productivity, and reduced cycle timesDesign, run, test, and upgrade systems and assess processesDevelop routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of outputConduct safety assessments to ensure safe practicesImprove and create process documentation, training, and standard operating proceduresOptimize processes to attain lower manufacturing costs, increased productivity, and reduced cycle timesLead tactical site-level projects and contribute to regional and divisional projectsIdentify, communicate, and overcome obstacles that may prohibit meeting production requirementsImprove complex processes by partnering with operating employees in various departments to collect, analyze, and implement results via training or capital expenditure recommendationsOversee contractor partnershipsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futureMust have a bachelor's degree or higher or at least four (4) years of work experience in engineeringMust have at least two (2) years of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, operations function or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Engineering functionMust have at least two (2) years of work experience in an engineering functionMust have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.Preferred Qualifications:Have a bachelor's degree or higher in EngineeringHave at least three (3) years of work experience in an engineering functionHave working knowledge of control systems and common process equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.)About UsAt Sherwin-Williams, our purpose is to inspire and improve the world by coloring and protecting what matters.
