About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in specialty required License: Active RN license in Tennessee or multistate Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 1 year of EPIC experience - Teaching and community hospital experience preferred - Previous charge experience preferred - Travel experience required Description: The registered nurse will work in a fast-paced orthopedic surgery unit. Shift is 3x12 nights from 18:45 to 07:15. Floating to other units may be required based on skill set and census needs. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, subject to change based on needs. Experience with a medication management system is essential. Candidates must hold current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients, with a daily census of 15-20. The unit has 30 beds and interdisciplinary support available for various services. Preferred skills include accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and central line management. Candidates should have experience in total joint replacement and orthopedic trauma. The position requires effective communication and teamwork within a diverse medical environment. Candidates will be expected to float to other units only if qualified and competent tasks have been documented. All module completion is required prior to starting the contract. Time management and organizational skills are essential for this role.
