We are seeking a talented and motivated Wastewater Engineer to join a growing engineering team in the Pittsburgh area. The ideal candidate will have experience in the planning, design, and execution of wastewater infrastructure projects and possess a strong understanding of municipal water and wastewater systems.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions for public and private sector clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment system projects.

• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.

• Support project planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance efforts.

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams.

• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observations as needed.

• Assist with project management activities including budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination.

• Review project deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and quality standards.

• Provide technical support throughout all phases of project development and construction.

QualificationsRequired

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of wastewater engineering experience.

Preferred

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• Experience with municipal wastewater collection systems, pump stations, and treatment facilities.

• Strong knowledge of applicable industry standards, regulations, and permitting requirements.

• Proficiency with engineering design software and Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent communication and project coordination skills.

Alternative Consideration

• Engineers holding an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification with 3-5 years of dedicated wastewater engineering experience will also be considered.

Additional Information

This is a fully onsite position located in the Pittsburgh area. Candidates must be willing to work onsite daily. Local candidates are preferred; however, relocation candidates seeking long-term opportunities in the region are encouraged to apply.
