Hourly Pay Rate: $4,290.00

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Physician to join our team for upcoming coverage periods. The provider will support both BRMC and HVMC locations with a schedule that includes 24-hour call coverage, weekdays, and weekends. The role involves working closely with Advanced Practice Providers and supporting endoscopy procedures, including general GI and ERCP cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology services, including ERCP procedures
• Support endoscopy suites and assist with patient rounding as needed
• Manage a varied patient volume, averaging 5-6 procedures per day
• Collaborate with supporting staff such as OR and Endo nurses
• Utilize Olympus equipment and EPIC EMR system (preferred)

Schedule Details:

• Coverage needed starting June 22, 2026, through various scheduled periods extending to early 2028
• Mon-Fri 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM shifts with night beeper and weekend call coverage
• Onsite work approximately 8-10 hours per day, with some after-hours responsibilities primarily via phone consults
• Flexibility around EUS scheduling and procedures available
• Support staff includes both OR and in-house Endo nurses

Requirements:

• Board Certified in GI (required)
• TN State License or IMLC acceptance (required before confirmation)
• ACLS/BLS certifications
• Experience with ERCP procedures (required)
• Knowledge of Olympus equipment
• DEA license for Tennessee (required)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Exemptions for vaccines may apply with proper documentation

Privileging:

• Estimated 60-90 days for privileging with clean backgrounds and active licenses

Travel:

• All billable

Rates:

• $5,500 per 24-hour shift
• $550 per hour for callback
