Per Diem Clinical Research Nurse - Home Visits

Location Chattanooga, Tennessee Overview Science 37’s Nursing Solutions Group brings together expert nurses to organize, plan, and implement mobile clinical nurse services for participants in clinical trials. The group collaborates with clinicians, researchers, patient recruitment specialists, data managers, and technology developers throughout the trial life cycle—from protocol development and feasibility analysis to clinical trial implementation and closeout. Role Summary The Per Diem Mobile Research Nurse is a Registered Nurse who works on a per‑day basis and has experience across multiple therapeutic areas. This travel‑heavy role involves providing care at participants’ homes and, when needed, collaborating with brick‑and‑mortar sites to support decentralized model clinical trials. Duties & Responsibilities Provide research nurse services to qualified study participants at home. Apply clinical research and nursing practices to develop solutions to complex problems. Collaborate with Lead and Per Diem Mobile Research Nurses on solutioning, education, and resource support. Participate in activities that advance Science 37’s operational development of nursing service delivery. Develop relationships with study team members and serve as the subject‑matter expert (SME) on all nursing processes. Perform other duties as assigned to meet evolving needs of Science 37. Qualifications Active RN licensure in home state and eligibility for Compact Licensure. Minimum 2+ years of clinical and/or research experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Full COVID‑19 vaccination strongly preferred (subject to CDC guidelines). Active driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel. Availability for 1–2 days per week dedicated to study visits, including weekday and nighttime availability. Willingness to travel to participants’ homes, up to 100% travel as needed. Physical ability to perform nursing tasks and lift equipment up to 15 kg. Ability to obtain a nursing license in additional states based on study needs. Proficiency in using technology for participant assessments and documentation (laptop, tablet, communication devices). Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Professional representation of Science 37 in participant homes and clinical settings. Travel & Availability The position requires frequent travel to participants’ homes and may involve up to 100% travel for study visits and professional meetings. The role demands 1–2 days per week of dedicated support, including weekday and nighttime availability. Reporting Minimal supervision; reports to the Manager, Nursing Solutions Group. Compensation Starting pay range: $50–$55 per hour, varying by location and workload. Eligible for discretionary bonuses and commissions.
