Responsibilities

• Serve as the circulating nurse in the OR, supporting the surgical team and maintaining a safe, sterile field throughout procedures
• Prepare and position patients, assist with instrument handling, and ensure all required equipment and supplies are available for each case
• Manage case turnover, assist with counts and specimen handling, and verify patient safety and documentation at case end
• Pull and prepare next-day cases when scheduled, coordinating with perioperative staff to ensure smooth start and room readiness
• Monitor for outages and equipment maintenance needs; respond to urgent or emergent cases as they arise and communicate status to the team
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes and maintain compliance with OR protocols

Requirements

• Active RN license in Ohio
• OR experience required; OR circulator experience is preferred
• Ability to work 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Availability for 3x12 night shifts (7pm-7am)
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius from the assignment location
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced OR environment and adhere to safety and sterile processing standards
