Tax Manager

Tax ManagerOur client is looking for a Tax Manager. The position is hybrid in Los Angeles, CA.Salary: $130,000 - $145,000Responsibilities:Review federal, state, and local corporate and partnership income tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable tax regulationsEvaluate quarterly estimated tax payments and extension filings, including tracking and confirming adherence to all deadlinesPrepare and review interim and annual tax provisions, including analysis of current taxable income and assessment of deferred tax balances under ASC 740Work with finance and accounting teams to gather and interpret financial data; document assumptions, calculations, and conclusions supporting tax filings and forecastsBuild and maintain a strong understanding of the company's operations to support accurate tax reportingRespond to tax authority notices and assist in resolving inquiries, audits, and disputesOversee and guide internal tax staff and/or external consultants on assigned projectsProvide tax-related support across corporate and operational teams as neededAssist with income tax audits and contribute to tax planning initiativesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (preferred: Accounting degree, MBT, and/or CPA)7+ years of experience in U.S. income tax compliance (preferred: public accounting experience with a nationally recognized firm)Solid knowledge of corporate and partnership tax principles at the domestic levelWorking understanding of tax accounting concepts, including ASC 740Strong ability to conduct tax research and interpret technical guidanceHighly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentCapable of working independently and effectively in a remote settingProactive, well-organized, and strong in building working relationshipsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindsetAdvanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and logical functionsThe Solomon Page DistinctionOur teams, comprised of subject matter experts, develop an interest in your preferences and goals and we act as an advisor for your career advancement.
