This dual role blends planning and purchasing expertise ensuring materials are available, production runs on schedule, and our customers receive products on time.

Key Responsibilities

Production Scheduling

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, and Warehouse teams to align capacity, staffing, and materials.
• Monitor work orders and adjust schedules to meet customer demands and resolve bottlenecks.
• Track progress against deadlines and communicate any risks or changes.

Purchasing & Procurement

• Source and purchase raw materials, packaging, and supplies at competitive pricing.
• Build strong vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations to manage purchasing budgets and cost savings initiatives.

Cross-Functional Support

• Partner with R&D and Quality Assurance to align material specifications with production needs.
• Support new product launches by ensuring timely sourcing and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems and generate weekly purchasing/scheduling reports.

Qualifications

• 35 years of experience in production scheduling, supply chain, or procurement (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and production planning tools.
• Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and pivot in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
