Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.What You Will Experience In This Position:As a CAD Design Supervisor at nVent Management Company, you will lead our CAD team in producing precise and high-quality technical drawings, models, and documentation. You will experience:Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead, mentor, and develop a world-class team of CAD designers and drafters. Assign workloads, balance priorities, and ensure strict adherence to timelines.Technical Mentorship: Establish and implement CAD standards, templates, and guidelines. Review drawings and models for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.Workflow & Process Management: Develop and optimize CAD workflows to improve efficiency and reduce rework. Coordinate with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on project requirements.Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure our outputs are flawless and align with regulatory and industry standards.Serve as the primary contact for CAD-related questions across the organization. Participate in project planning meetings to understand scope and build needs.Software Management: Manage CAD software licenses, updates, and integrations in partnership with IT.You Have:Academic background in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.Demonstrated background as a CAD Designer, Drafter, or in a comparable position with advancement into leadership.Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks.Strong understanding of engineering principles, drafting standards, and build documentation.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage numerous projects and timelines simultaneously.We Have:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
