Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room

Position Overview Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room – St. Luke’s Main OR, Milwaukee, WI. Full‑time position with 40 hours per week. Pay range $38.20–$57.30 per hour. Requires state RN license, 1–2 years OR experience, BLS certification. Scheduling 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday–Friday (orientation). Variable start times; future shift to be determined upon completion of orientation. 80 hours per pay period. Future rotating call after orientation; must meet 30‑minute call requirement. Weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Responsibilities Provide circulator role during surgeries, serving as patient advocate. Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, technologists, and residents to ensure superior surgical outcomes. Participate in didactic education, digital modules, lab practice, simulations, role‑playing, and hands‑on practice. Prepare and maintain operating room equipment and supplies. Assist in patient preparation and intra‑operative monitoring. Respond to emergencies and participate in patient evacuation drills. Adhere to AORN standards and safety protocols. Lift up to 35 pounds or use patient‑handling equipment for heavier lifts. Qualifications State‑issued RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 1–2 years OR experience. Ability to work weekends, holidays, variable shifts, and on call. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
