Medical Lab Scientist

The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens in all sections of Clinical Laboratory at an elevated level as a true generalist to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease and exercises independent judgment when evaluating the validity of test results prior to result reporting. Operates and calibrates all equipment in the area of specialization, evaluates the validity of laboratory data, records test results, communicates with physician, pathologists and nursing staff regarding test procedures and results. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology • American Society for Clinical Pathology - Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Preferred Qualifications • Experience with EPIC preferred. • Experience with Vitros, Unity and WellSky preferred. • ASCP Speciality certifications preferred. • Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Housing: Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing. It's extremely expensive, especially in the winter. Please consider housing options in the surrounding towns: Basalt, Carbondale, & Glenwood Springs. $3,500/month is common for a 1BR apartment in Basalt. Travelers looking for a housing budget less than this should probably not be submitted. Misc: Not accepting any RTO - Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8k elevation)

Shift: Rotating every other week 3x12, 4x10 shifts Rotating days to work
