Qualifications Required: High school diploma required Six months to one-year Healthcare Materials Management/Distribution/OR experience Knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel and the ability to multitask successfully Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and demonstrated writing skills Preferred: College degree Scheduling Requirements Shift: Day Time: 8:00am - 4:00pm Hours: 37.5hrs Essential Functions Actively participates in cost containment and clinical product standardization programs Acts as a liaison between Supply Chain and other units Act as official purchasing agent for the OR/unit Reviews and evaluates product data with an emphasis on specialized clinical items Advise appropriate team members about product backorder, and make recommendations to resolve issues Files all documents and related paperwork in a timely fashion Receives all physician requests for implants and special clinical items; clarifies request with MD office if necessary and expedites delivery of items for surgery Reconciles invoices that have pricing or receiving discrepancies; helps to resolve credit hold issues by acting as a liaison between AP and vendor Processes all bills only, filing by vendor and date Processes all added items and activations daily Reviews implant log daily, and enters usage into Invita UDI Tissue Tracking Sweeps for expired product daily Moves short dates to the front of the pack Compiles a spreadsheet of all expired products Attends huddle for scheduling Packs all return and brings to receiving for processing Compiles bill only back-up implant descriptions and brings to OR materials' manager Orders OR supplies and replenish the OR supply room Practice and adhere to the 'Code of Conduct' philosophy and 'Mission and Value Statement' Review OR schedule and surgical booking sheets daily to prepare for upcoming surgical procedures up to a week in advance Maintain bill and replace records for consignment inventory Maintain the organization of the storeroom by performing FIFO, labeling and cleanliness of supply bins and storage shelves Actively review surgeon preference cards and case cart sheets for case efficiency Perform other duties as assigned Benefits and Perks At RWJBarnabas Health, our employees are at the heart of everything we do.
