Neurosurgeon

Position Information Position Title: Neurosurgeon (Assistant Professor) Department: SOM - Neuro Surgery Location: MUSOM - Marshall University School of Medicine, Huntington, WV Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Duties and Responsibilities Provide evaluation, treatment, surgical procedures, and follow-up care for adult neurosurgery patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Serve in clinic, hospital, and teaching components, including general neurosurgery call coverage with other neurosurgeons. Active participation in physician and hospital outreach activities related to General Neurosurgery. Engage in medical student and resident education, mentoring, and research activities. Perform all other appropriate duties as assigned by the chair of the Department of Neurosurgery. Qualifications Board certified or board eligible General Neurosurgeon with completed Neurosurgery Residency. Must have or be eligible to obtain a license to practice medicine in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. Medical degree and completion of residency training in Neurosurgery. Interest in academic medicine with emphasis on clinic‑based practice. Strong desire to teach and mentor medical students.
