Your Role as an LPN/LVN As an LPN/LVN, you’ll provide skilled nursing services in various facilities, including hospitals, long‑term care centers, rehab/​skilled facilities, and veterans' hospitals. You’ll work under the direction of a registered nurse or medical doctor, delivering compassionate care and supporting patients in achieving their best health. What You’ll Do Patient Care: Perform nursing procedures according to care plans, including dressing changes, oxygen therapy, range‑of‑motion exercises, and diabetic care. Medication Management: Set up prescribed medications, administer them orally, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously, and monitor patients' responses. Rehabilitation Support: Assist patients with daily living, social skills, and recreational activities. Record Keeping: Document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA standards. Team Collaboration: Work closely with registered nurses, doctors, and mid‑level providers to deliver top‑notch patient care. Cultural Competence: Provide non‑judgmental, respectful care that honors cultural diversity, autonomy, and dignity. Requirements to Join Our Team License: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program and a current LPN/LVN license in Nevada. Experience: At least 1 year of recent experience as an LPN/LVN. Certifications: Current CPR certification and TB testing (2‑Step, Quantiferon, or CXR as needed). Screening: Background and drug screening as required by state and client contracts. Physical Capability: Ability to read medical documents, move medical equipment, and assist with transporting patients.
