Anesthesia Technician

The Anesthesia Technician is a key member of the anesthesia care team, responsible for assisting anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, and other medical personnel in administering anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures. This role ensures that anesthesia equipment is properly maintained and set up and assists in monitoring patients during procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care in a fast-paced medical environment.

Education

Certificate or associate's degree in anesthesia technology or a related healthcare field.

Certification

Certification as an Anesthesia Technician (e.g., from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians, ASATT) is preferred but not always required.

Experience

Prior experience in a surgical or anesthesia setting is beneficial, but entry-level candidates with appropriate training will be considered.

• Exposure to sterile environments, medical gases, and potentially hazardous materials is common. Proper protective equipment is provided.

Physical Requirements
