Role Description The Show Site Operations Manager collaborates with Sales, Account Management, and the Warehouse on all operational aspects of events assigned to them by the VP of Operations. The Show Site Operations Manager is knowledgeable and capable in pre- show labor planning and coordination, understanding the union contract, show site labor coordination, basic knowledge AGAM and MATRIX systems as well as reading floor plans as well as construction plans.The Show Site Operations Manager must provide exceptional Customer Service, Communication, and Leadership to both internal and external customers during all phases of a project (Preshow Planning, Operational Execution, and Post Show Reporting) Job Responsibilities Provides show-site leadership and supervision to all assigned projects.High visibility and interaction is key to position success. Coordination with Convention Centers, Hotels, LVE equipment suppliers etc.Attends all preshow meetings and assists in Pre-Cons and planning meetings. Attends and offers insights at weekly production meetings. Focus on day-to-day operational efficiencies and procedures (Office and Show Site). Ensure compliance and enforcement with all union CBA’s.Understand work rules and apply them to job costing. Ensure all operational reporting is completed following company procedures such as: Ensure that all Facility/Show/GSC rules and regulations are followed. Files and maintains Forklift Certifications and ensure all documentation is current and accountable. Ensure all vendor activities are coordinated to ensure operational efficiency. File and maintain daily safety “talks”. Assist OPS Managers in ensuring payroll reporting is accurately completed and transmitted to Accounting daily. Demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines and hold strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Operate in a continuous improvement mentality.Strive for increased productivity, enhanced customer service, and overall project success. Be willing and able to calmly shift priorities under pressure as necessary. Respond to all emails or messages in an appropriate timeframe. Performs additional tasks as assigned by Operations Managers. Essential Functions Superior communication skills with internal and external customers. Ability to read show floorplans to diagnose any possible issues before an event. A good understanding of pre-planning, producing and meeting deadlines for shows. Communicate with Convention Centers, Hotels, freight carriers, equipment suppliers and LVE dispatch all timelines. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and support of company policies, procedures, and directives. Computer knowledge is essential and solid working abilities of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to focus on attention to detail while performing multiple tasks. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must have excellent problem-solving skills. Expected to work overtime and flexible hours as needed to meet production show goals.
